Reflexology in Halesowen

Taking the step to prioritise your wellbeing isn't always easy, but you're here now and that's what matters. Whether you're dealing with a specific health concern or simply need space to rest and rebalance, reflexology offers gentle, effective support tailored to you.

Your First Session

Your initial appointment lasts around 90 minutes at no extra charge. We'll start with a thorough consultation where you can share your health history, current concerns, and what you're hoping to gain from treatment. This isn't rushed. It's a proper conversation that helps me understand what your body needs.

Once we've talked things through, you'll relax comfortably while I work with reflex points on your feet, hands, or ears. Most people find the experience deeply calming. You might drift off, or you might stay alert and notice the sensations as I work. Both are perfectly normal.

After your session, we'll discuss what you felt, what I noticed, and how we might move forward. Some people book a course of treatments, others prefer to see how they feel after one session. There's no pressure either way.

A Holistic Approach

Reflexology treats you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Your physical health, emotional wellbeing, and mental state are all interconnected. Stress shows up as tension in your body. Chronic pain impacts your sleep and mood. Hormonal changes affect your energy and emotions.

Rather than focusing solely on where it hurts, reflexology looks at the bigger picture, supporting your body's natural ability to heal itself. This means treatment might address areas you didn't expect, because everything in your body is linked. Many clients find that alongside the specific issue they came for, other things improve too - better sleep, reduced anxiety, or simply feeling more like themselves again.

My Approach

Reflexology works by applying gentle pressure to specific reflex points that correspond to different areas of your body. It encourages your body's natural ability to rebalance and heal itself, supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Every treatment responds to what you need that day. This means I may adapt my techniques at each session and even during a treatment, working with intuition, depending on what I find during a treatment on the day. That's intentional. Your body changes, and your treatment should change with it.

How I Work

I see clients in my treatment room at home. It is peaceful and relaxing, where you can unwind and feel completely at ease. There's parking on the driveway, and the room itself is situated on the first floor using the stairs. If you are unable to make it to my treatment room because of the stairs, please call me to discuss making a visit to your home.

Appointments are available Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 - 16.00 and evening appointments on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 18.00 - 20.00.

How reflexology can help support you and your health

Reflexology is a gentle, supportive way to care for your overall wellbeing, with many benefits. Some people come with something specific they’d like help with, while others simply need a moment to slow down, let go of stress, and truly rest. Whatever brings you, it’s all welcome—and every reason is a good one to experience reflexology.

Women's Health

Hormonal changes can be challenging to navigate, whether you're dealing with menopause, perimenopause, or the monthly fluctuations that affect how you feel day to day. Reflexology can help ease symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and fatigue. It's about supporting your body through transition rather than fighting against it.

Fertility and Maternity

I've trained in reproductive reflexology to support couples through conception, pregnancy, and the postnatal period. Reflexology can help regulate cycles, reduce stress that may be affecting fertility, ease pregnancy discomforts, and support recovery after birth. It's gentle, safe, and works alongside any medical care you're receiving.

Palliative and Chronic Care

Living with chronic illness or a life-limiting condition brings its own challenges, both physical and emotional. Reflexology offers compassionate support during difficult times, helping to ease pain, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and provide moments of comfort. I work gently and adapt treatment to how you're feeling on the day. Many clients find it brings a sense of calm and helps them feel more present in their own body.

Stress and Anxiety

Stress has a way of building up without you realising until it's affecting everything. Sleep, energy, patience, and physical health. Reflexology helps calm the nervous system, giving your body permission to move out of fight-or-flight mode. It's not about eliminating stress entirely, which isn't realistic. It's about helping you manage it better.

Pain and Sleep

Chronic pain and poor sleep often go hand in hand, creating a cycle that's hard to break. Reflexology can help reduce pain levels, ease muscle tension, and promote deeper, more restorative sleep. You might not notice dramatic changes after one session, but over time, many clients find they're sleeping better and relying less on pain relief.

Older Adults

As we age, our bodies need different support. Reflexology can help with age-related concerns like arthritis, circulation issues, balance problems, and general aches and pains. It's also valuable for emotional wellbeing, particularly if you're dealing with loneliness, loss, or changes in independence. Treatment is always gentle and adapted to your comfort level.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my reflexology session?

Wear comfortable clothing that fits loosely around the ankles. You'll only need to remove your shoes and socks, so anything you feel relaxed in works perfectly.

How will I feel after treatment?

Most people feel deeply relaxed and calm, but this is different for each individual.

How many sessions will I need?

The frequency of reflexology treatments will depend on your individual needs and the reasons you are seeking therapy. As reflexology is cumulative, regular sessions will have compounded positive effects that can provide ongoing support and continue to enhance overall wellbeing. Some clients opt for continuous treatment, while others experience noticeable improvements after just one or two treatments and then return once a month to maintain the benefits. During your initial consultation, we will have a chat about what will be best for you.

Can reflexology help with my medical condition?

Reflexology works alongside conventional medical care and can support your body's natural healing. It's particularly effective for stress, pain, sleep issues, and promoting overall wellbeing. Always continue with any treatments prescribed by your doctor.
